What are the components of clothing production?

Components of clothing production

Different clothing enterprises have different organizational structures, production forms, and target management, but their production processes and processes are basically the same. Clothing production is generally composed of the following eight main production units and links.

1. Generally speaking, most large and medium-sized clothing factories have their own designers to design clothing style series. The clothing design of clothing enterprises can be roughly divided into two categories: one is ready-made clothing design, which formulates a set of regular sizes based on the proportion of most people's sizes for large-scale production. When designing, it is not only necessary to choose fabrics and accessories, but also to understand the equipment and workers' skills of the clothing factory; Another type is fashion design, which designs various clothing styles based on market trends and fashion trends.

2. Pattern Design: After the clothing design sample is confirmed by the customer, the next step is to draw different sizes of patterns according to the customer's requirements. A drawing that enlarges or reduces a standard paper pattern, known as "pattern grading" or "pushing". Large clothing factories often use computers to complete the grading of paper patterns. On the basis of different sizes of paper patterns, they also need to make production paper patterns and draw layout diagrams.

3. There are many preparatory work before production, such as conducting necessary inspections and tests on fabrics, accessories, sewing threads, and other materials required for production, pre shrinking and organizing materials, and sewing and processing samples and sample clothes.

4. Generally speaking, cutting is the previous process in clothing production, which involves cutting fabrics, lining, and other materials into pieces according to layout and sampling requirements. It also includes layout, laying, calculation, borrowing, nesting, cutting, inspection, numbering, bundling, etc. of fabric defects.

5. Sewing process Sewing is a highly technical and important garment processing process throughout the entire garment processing process. It is a process of combining various pieces of clothing into clothing through reasonable stitching according to different style requirements. So, it is very important to organize the sewing process reasonably, choose stitching, seam type, machine equipment, and tools, etc.

6. After the garment is made, it undergoes ironing treatment to achieve an ideal appearance and make it look beautiful. Ironing can generally be divided into two categories: production ironing (medium ironing) and garment ironing (large ironing).

7. Garment quality control Garment quality control is a very necessary measure to ensure the product quality in the whole processing process. It is to study the quality problems that occur and may occur during the processing of products, and to formulate the required quality inspection standards and regulations.

8. Post processing includes packaging, storage and transportation, and is the last step in the entire production process. The operator arranges and folds each piece of clothing made and ironed according to the packaging process requirements, puts it in a plastic bag, and then distributes the packaging according to the quantity on the packing list. Sometimes ready-made clothes are also lifted and shipped, lifting them onto shelves and delivering them to the delivery location. In order to ensure timely delivery by the factory and catch up with the sales season, standard technical documents are formulated for various production processes such as paper patterns, sample design, process specifications, cutting techniques, sewing processing, ironing, packaging, etc. after analyzing the characteristics of clothing products' shape structure and process processing. Only in this way can we produce high-quality, quantity guaranteed, low-cost clothing that meets the needs of consumers and customers.
